Veterans Administration outpatient centers are being planned in Grand Forks and Devils Lake.
The centers, similar to small clinics, are aimed at helping veterans avoid long trips to VA hospitals.
The Fargo VA Medical Center director, Robert McDivitt, says the proposal for Grand Forks was approved last year, and officials have been looking for a site. He says the VA is talking with the North Dakota National Guard about a joint venture in Devils Lake.
Outpatient centers already are operating in Bismarck, Grafton, Jamestown, Minot and Williston.
