North Dakota National Guard officials say an air defense artillery is headed to Afghanistan.
North Dakota National Guard officials say an air defense artillery is headed to Afghanistan.
The military says 43 soldiers with the 188th Air Defense Artillery are leaving Tuesday for Fort Hood, Texas, before heading to Afghanistan.
The military says the unit will be deployed for a year. The unit is based in Grand Forks, Bismarck and Fargo.
Parts of the unit have mobilized earlier, most recently in Afghanistan.
