FARGO (AP) — Divers have been drilling holes and using underwater cameras to search the Red River for a woman missing for a week.
The search for 56-year-old Laura Williams-Jaffe focused on the river after a bloodhound followed her scent about two blocks from her apartment.
Family members said Williams-Jaffe needs medication for anxiety and pain from a broken back she suffered last fall. She is the sister of Fargo Commissioner Mike Williams.
Rather than go into the river, divers have been working first with augers and cameras to see if they can see find any trace of Williams-Jaffe.
She’s described as about 5-foot-4, weighing 100 pounds, with long, straight, light brown hair.
