House votes to cut state income tax, give rebates

BISMARCK - The North Dakota House voted this afternoon to rebate $100 million

BISMARCK - The North Dakota House voted this afternoon to rebate $100 million to state income tax payers this year and to reduce the tax rate across the board starting in 2011.

The rebates apply to the taxes North Dakotans paid in 2007. The vote was 53-40.

The bill now moves to the Senate.
