Board suspends licenses of Grand Forks officers

A state police licensing board has suspended the licenses of two Grand Forks officers accused of forcing a man to stand in dangerously cold temperatures. .

A state police licensing board has suspended the licenses of two Grand Forks officers accused of forcing a man to stand in dangerously cold temperatures.

The North Dakota Peace Officer Standards and Training Board action coincides with the length of probation handed down to officers David O'Toole and Eric Straus.

O'Toole was found guilty of reckless endangerment in the February 2008 event and given two years probatoin. Straus pleaded guilty to a lesser count of disorderly conduct and resigned. He was given a year of probation.
