Interior work finishing on marina

RIVERDALE (AP) — The Army Corps of Engineers says interior work on the new marina

RIVERDALE (AP) — The Army Corps of Engineers says interior work on the new marina at Fort Stevenson State Park should be finished this week.

The corps says the contract to complete the excavation of the marina floor and riprap of the interior banks has continued despite cold and snow. The cofferdam is being lowered 5 feet to prepare for removal.

Corps project manager Steve Graf says two contracts will be awarded next month. He says the first contract will remove the cofferdam and finish the concession building and the second contract will install 500 feet of floating concrete breakwater to protect the marina entrance and install the dock gangway. Graf says the work is to be finished by July 1.
