BISMARCK — A North Dakota High School Activities Association survey of member schools shows opposition continues for a three-division system for basketball and volleyball.
The association says on its Web site that member schools were asked: “Are you in favor of the NDHSAA Board continuing with the pursuit of the concept of a 3 division system for basketball and volleyball?” It says 87 member schools replied no and 76 said yes.
The NDHSAA board of directors expects to make a decision on the plan April 15. If approved, it would take effect in the 2010-11 school year.
The plan would have 16 teams in Class AA, including schools with enrollments of more than 400, 32 teams in Class A, and the rest in Class B.
