Bowman and Stark counties will soon be featured on national television as soon as May.

On Tuesday, the producers of “The Economic Report” announced both Bowman and Stark County will be featured in upcoming episodes.

Ashley Alderson, Bowman County economic development director said a film crew spent a day in Bowman.

The episodes, which feature interviews with county officials and business owners among others, will air on CNN and Fox Business Network stations, possibly in May, Alderson said.

“They featured a lot of what our community has to offer as far as businesses, potential for energy development such as wind, coal, uranium and oil,” Alderson said. “I think people will be excited to see Bowman County on TV.

Gaylon Baker, executive vice president for Stark County Development Corporation said it was a multi-stage process, writing a script and developing a theme among other things.

Baker and Alderson said about $20,000 was paid for the infomercial-style episode.

“I think it’s going to be a good thing for the county,” he said.
