BISMARCK — The Dickinson High girls tennis team held its own, but couldn’t prevail against Bismarck High on Thursday.
BISMARCK — The Dickinson High girls tennis team held its own, but couldn’t prevail against Bismarck High on Thursday.
The Demons held a 4-2 advantage after singles, eventually hanging on for a 5-4 victory.
“The girls played well, but we just fell short,” DHS coach Kristal Fields said. “We just came up one point short.”
Caitlin Dunn (No. 2) and Steph Wallace (No. 4) won their singles matches while Dunn and Chelsey Galipeau, and Wallace and Rachael Kelly won their doubles matches.
The loss means Dickinson High will be competing in a West Region Tournament play-in game Monday at Minot Ryan.
