At least a dozen vehicles across Dickinson appear to have been shot by BB guns Wednesday night and Thursday morning, according to the Dickinson Police Department.

Nearly every vehicle reportedly had a window or windows shot out and at least one had damage to the door.

The damages totaled a minimum of $2,000, said Lt. Rod Banyai.

The damaged vehicles were spread throughout the city, but Officer James Petersen said they could almost trace the path the vandal or vandals took.

“They’d hit one and you could tell they were reloading as they were driving to the next one and then they’d hit the next one,” Petersen said.

All of the damage is believed to be connected but Banyai said the victims of the vandalism were likely not connected to each other or the vandals in any way.

“It’s usually pretty random, especially when there’s that many,” Banyai said.

Authorities have no suspects and police are investigating.
