North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven and First Lady Mikey Hoeven speak during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Rough Riders Hotel Saturday in Medora. Renovations on the historic hotel began in September. The west side now features eight luxury guest rooms in the upper level and “Theodore’s Dining Room and TR’s Tavern” on the main level. Outdoor patio seating will be added later this summer. Phase two of the scheduled renovation includes an additional 68 hotel rooms, fitness center and year-round conference center. The project is slated to be complete in late March.
