Morgan Dawn “Pookie” Kolling, age 8 of Davenport, N.D. was called home to be with Jesus June 22 after a 14-month battle with brain cancer.
Morgan was born at MeritCare in Fargo, June 13, 2001 to Joseph and Angela Kolling.
In her short eight years on earth, Morgan taught everybody who knew her how to live, laugh and love. Live life to the fullest, laugh every chance you have and love others more than yourself.
She is survived by and will be very much missed by her mother Angela (Lenz) Kolling, her father Joseph Kolling and big brother Andrew, Davenport, N.D., grandparents Kevin and Dawn Kolling, Dickinson, N.D., along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Morgan is preceded in death by her grandmother Dawn Lenz and grandfather Stephen Lenz, uncle Christopher Kolling, great-grandmas Betty Braaten, LaVern Lenz and great-grandpa’s Andrew Braaten and Clifford Lenz, Joseph Kolling and Grant Krebs.
In lieu of flowers, The Kolling Family asks that donations be made to the following places: Davenport Lutheran Church, Roger Maris Cancer Center, Meritcare Children’s Hospital, Make A Wish of North Dakota and Hospice of the Red River Valley.
A celebration of life for Morgan will be Friday, June 26 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davenport Elementary School, Davenport, N.D. The prayer service will be Thursday, at 7 p.m. with a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Davenport Elementary School.
