Bar violates zoning code

Boots Bar and Grill in Medora has been found in violation of the city’s zoning code and may have to pay a fine, Mayor Doug Ellison said Wednesday.

At a special meeting of the city Planning and Zoning Board Tuesday, the board found the construction of a lean-to type building in violation of the city’s zoning code as plans for the building had not been brought before the board.

The establishment is undergoing other construction that the board approved.

The board allowed construction to continue, but representatives from the establishment must appear before the Zoning Board with a new construction application during its next meeting and a fine may be mandated.

The next meeting is Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Medora Community Center.
