Woman killed in cycle crash

A woman died after a motorcycle accident on I-94 near mile marker 34 Thursday morning in Billings County.

The 50-year-old woman was riding as the passenger on a motorcycle traveling westbound when the rear tire blew out, throwing her and the male driver, age 46, from the bike, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Both parties were transferred to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Dickinson and the female was then transferred to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Bismarck where she was pronounced dead.

The male driver’s condition is unknown and their name’s were not released Thursday evening. Neither party was wearing a helmet.
