MISSOULA, Mont. — Jabin Sambrano returned a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown to provide one of the biggest highlights at the University of Montana’s football scrimmage on Saturday.

But Montana coach Bobby Hauck says the jury is still out on how good a team the Grizzlies will be this year, and that the team’s youth as well as fatigue showed up on Saturday.

Four quarterbacks saw action, with juniors Justin Roper and Andrew Selle getting most of the plays.

Selle completed 5 of 8 attempts for 59 yards, including a 3-yard touchdown pass to senior running back Thomas Brooks-Fletcher.

Roper was 3 of 7 for 53 yards.

The Grizzlies are the defending champion of the Big Sky Conference. They have another scrimmage on Thursday.

About 1,000 fans watched Saturday’s scrimmage at Washington-Grizzly Stadium.
