BERLIN — The Bahamas men's 1,600-meter relay was disqualified after finishing second in its heat race Saturday at the IAAF World Athletics Championships.

Dickinson State student Ramon Miller ran the opening leg for the team, which won a silver medal at the Olympics in Beijing last August and were one of the favorites to chase the gold at this year's games.

Miller was the final former DSU athlete from the Bahamas competing at the games, which end Sunday.
