Numerous residents recognized at banquet

The Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce 103rd Annual banquet and meeting was Oct. 27 and numerous people were awarded.

The Chamber presented awards to outgoing directors Ray Ann Kilen, three years and Lee Dire, eight years; Board of Director of the Year and Past President Plaque to Blaine Stockert; Ag Family of the Year to Albert Sickler; Ag Business of the Year to KDIX; Outstanding Educator Business Award to Dr. Morton Krieg (Krieg Dental); Educators of the Year to Dickinson Public Schools Terry Glasser (Heart River), Dickinson Catholic Schools, Cheri Roshau, and Dickinson State University, Roger Kilwein; Outstanding Chamber Volunteer to Tim Lindemann; Outstanding Community Volunteer of the Year to Arts on the Prairie and the I Don’t Know Bar for hosting Band Aid for tornado victims.

The Coalition for Charitable Organizations also recognized its 2009 outstanding philanthropists. The Philanthropist Awards went to Fisher Industries and employees and Bosh Lumber-Paul, Joel and Troy Bosch.

The Mayors Committee on Employment of Persons with Disabilities also presented awards for personal commitment to Fran Knaup and Deb Dazall. The employer recognition award went to Jan Hillyard of Killdeer Mountain Manufacturing.
