Chavez, McPeters run strong at nationals
VANCOUVER, Wash. — Dickinson State senior Sammy Chavez ran a time of 26 minutes, 42 seconds to place 124th out of 323 men’s runners at the NAIA national cross country championships Saturday.

In the women’s race, DSU senior Rayel McPeters had a time of 20:48 to finish 218th out of 330 runners.
Silas Kisorio, a sophomore from Oklahoma Christian, won the men’s championship in 24:23.
Justyna Mudy, a junior from Shorter College (Ga.) won the women’s title in 17:30.
Mary takes 18th at NCAA D-II nationals
Dickinson native Dakota Wolf finished 144th overall with a time of 22:35.80 and former DSU runner Irene Kosgei had a time of 22:33.10 to help the University of Mary women’s cross country team take 18th at the NCAA Division II national championships.
