Dorgan visits Dickinson

Out of Legislative session for a two-week break, the Regent native’s life does not seem to slow down.
After a meeting in Bismarck with airport managers from around North Dakota to discuss recent Senate-passed Federal Aviation Administration legislation, Dorgan headed to Dickinson for a meeting at The Dickinson Press.
Amid the booming oil activity in the area, Dorgan had a meeting with Marathon Oil Corp. in Dickinson to discuss the oil company’s present capabilities and future plans.
Dorgan said the time off “is kind of nice.”
Gathering for barbecue and conversation with his family, including his aunt, Evelyn Bach, uncle, Harold Bach, and brother, Darrell Dorgan, the group had some laughs and sticky fingers.
“We don’t get to spend a lot of time together, so whenever he’s coming out to the western part of the state we’ll get relatives and friends and stuff, I’ll ride along with him,” Darrell Dorgan said.
Dorgan’s time in the area this go-around was short-lived, however.
He will be flying to California today for meetings in San Francisco.
