2 more break-ins reported

Police have no leads on two east-side burglaries that occurred in Dickinson Monday and two more were reported Tuesday.

Detective Kylan Klauzer of the Dickinson Police Department said Wednesday police have no suspects in the Monday burglaries that resulted in firearms, electronics and jewelry being stolen.

No value amount on the items stolen has been totaled yet.

Monday’s burglaries occurred at residences on Franklin Street and Eighth Street East.

Two additional burglaries were reported Tuesday and police said Wednesday they were still investigating.

After the previous tenant at 378 Bonnie St. hadn’t paid rent, locks on the property, managed by Dave Bauer, were changed, but that didn’t stop someone from entering the property.

Lt. Rod Banyai of the DPD said Bauer said the residence was supposed to be empty and had no idea who may have been living there.

“They found some paraphernalia and drugs ... but no drugs of any amount,” Banyai said.

A second reported burglary on Tuesday allegedly occurred in an apartment on Third Avenue East.

Capt. Joe Cianni of the DPD said Wednesday the incident was still under investigation.

“It wasn’t similar to the other burglaries,” Cianni said. “This one is not connected to the first two residential burglaries and we don’t believe that it’s associated whatsoever.”
