ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — The mother of a missing 11-year-old found safe after four days in a Florida swamp says the girl didn’t eat or drink anything during her ordeal, but described seeing different animals and praying.
Nadia Bloom was found deep in a swamp Tuesday by a rescuer who used to belong to her family’s church. She had bug bites and was dehydrated, but was otherwise OK.
Her mother, Tanya Bloom, said at a press conference Wednesday that God had a hand in Nadia’s rescue.
She says Nadia asked to go out for a short bike ride last week and never came back. She says the girl took a camera with her, but her parents turned it over to police and haven’t been able to look at the pictures yet.
Tanya Bloom says Nadia has promised to obey her more in the future.
