Dickinson Rural Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Andy Paulson said a grass fire about five miles west of Dickinson burned about 80 to 100 acres Tuesday afternoon. Paulson said a Burlington Northern Santa Fe crew grinding railroad tracks may have started the fire. He added wind didn’t help, and the area was under a “red flag” fire warning last week.
