March for Babies raises funds in Dickinson event
Dickinson residents put their best foot forward at the March for Babies event held Saturday, May 15, at the Recreation Center.
Dickinson residents put their best foot forward at the March for Babies event held Saturday, May 15, at the Recreation Center.
Participants walked in honor of a loved one, several showed community spirit as part of a company team and still others walked as individuals, according to a press release.
Together, the March for Babies participants in Dickinson raised $8,846.
Award winners were:
- Holly Steier, top walker.
- Jeffery’s Team, top family team.
- TMI, top team.
March for Babies supports research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies.
The March of Dimes recently issued a Report Card on Premature Birth, giving the nation and North Dakota a “D,” according to the press release.
The March of Dimes is committed to reducing this toll by funding research to find the answers to premature birth and providing comfort to families who are affected, according to the press release.
