Three men were honored on Thursday, May 13 at Cardinal Muench Seminary in Fargo for completing Cardinal Muench Seminary’s program of formation.
Jerry Geraets from Colman, S.D., Adam Maus from Golva, and Sean Zimprich from Aneta, were awarded certificates in the seminary chapel during Mass.
Maus, son of Sarah and the late Daniel Maus, grew up on a farm near Golva. He attended Dickinson State University and Bismarck State College before going to the seminary in the fall of 2007. Adam graduated with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy/humanities.
As part of his formation at Cardinal Muench Seminary, Adam volunteered with ARC Buddies, Churches United for the Homeless, and at MeritCare Hospital. While at Cardinal Muench, Adam enjoyed working with the carnival and serving as sacristan. Adam also proved a valuable asset to the seminary with his knowledge of pumps when it came time to fight a flood in 2009, according to a press release.
Next fall, Adam will continue his studies for the priesthood for the Catholic Diocese of Bismarck at Kenrick Seminary in St. Louis, Mo.
