Newcomers Jason Hanson, Rebecca Pitkin and incumbent Morton Krieg won spots on the Dickinson Public Schools Board following Tuesday’s primary election.
Hanson led the race with 2,473 votes, Krieg followed with 2,255 votes and Pitkin came in with 1,974, according to Stark County information.
“I’m very excited and happy it’s over,” Hanson said. “I just want to thank all the voters out there who went out and voted. I’m ready to get to work.”
Jason Hanson is a real estate agent with Home and Land Co. in Dickinson.
Pitkin is an assistant professor of education at Dickinson State University.
Krieg is a local dentist.
Gaylon Baker, who was a candidate, withdrew from the race a few weeks ago, too late to have his name removed from the ballot. However, he still brought in 1,184 votes.
Krieg could not be reached for comment Monday evening.
Pitkin was out of the country and could also not be reached for comment.
