A 22-year-old woman was injured during a car crash Wednesday afternoon, according to the Dickinson Police Department.

Jessica Marquez, 24, was driving north on Third Avenue West at about 4 p.m., Capt. Dustin Dassinger said.

A vehicle driven by an unnamed teenager eastbound on 10th Street West allegedly failed to yield at a stop sign and crashed into Marquez’s vehicle, he said.

Jennifer Marquez was injured and taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital, Dassinger said.

“The driver of vehicle number two, which was a 15-year-old male, was cited for failure to yield,” Dassinger said.

Jessica Marquez was cited for driving under suspension and no liability insurance, he added.

The vehicle the teen was driving had about $4,000 in damages, while the vehicle the Marquez’s were in had about $3,000 in damages.

Jennifer Marquez was no longer a patient at St. Joseph’s Hospital Thursday evening, according to hospital staff.
