I called in about cars parking in front of fire hydrants. But as usual nothing gets done.
If anybody noticed very few of our fire hydrants have yellow lines painted in front so vehicles aren’t parked in front of them.
Have you ever seen a trailer house go up in flames? Where do you find the owners of the vehicle once a fire truck has to hook up to the hydrant? As a citizen of Dickinson I would like to go out and paint the curbside yellow like it should be but then I would be fined for vandalism.
Maybe as citizens we should all get a can of yellow paint. We could save the life of a neighbor or call our fire chief. Maybe just maybe something will be done.
It’s against the law to park in front of a fire hydrant.
