Fourth of July weekend events

Medora

Saturday-Sunday

11 a.m. - Catch the Joey O Show, Lil Missouri Driving Range located just across the river by the Medora Campground. Joey O is an acrobat with words of encouragement and self-belief.

1 p.m. - Take in the Comedy Corner, formerly known as the 4-H Revue, Old Town Hall Theater. No reservations required, but it fills fast. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door.

3:30 p.m. - Independence Day parade (both days), downtown Medora.

4 p.m. - Second performance of Comedy Corner at the Old Town Hall Theater.

All day - Buggy and pony rides throughout town.

7:15 p.m. - Behind-the-scenes tours of the Medora Musical.

8:30 p.m. - Medora Musical (children are free on Wednesdays and Sundays.)

Sunday

Immediately following the Medora Musical, a fireworks show will take place on the buttes just east of the Badlands Motel.

Killdeer

Saturday-Sunday

6:30 p.m. - 87th annual Killdeer Mountain Roundup PRCA rodeo, rodeo grounds in Killdeer. For more information, call 701-764-5777.

Saturday

2 p.m. - Dunn County Veterans Memorial Dedication, near the rodeo grounds in south Killdeer.

Sunday

10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Mason’s barbecue, Killdeer Lions Park.

3 p.m. - Fourth of July parade, downtown Killdeer.

Hettinger

Saturday

1:30 p.m. - Buffalo mount unveiling, Dakota Buttes Museum.

5:30 to 7:30 p.m. - Steak fry, Mirror Lake Park.

8:30 p.m. - Dance to Heroes and Thieves, downtown tent.

Sunday

10:30 a.m. - “Prairie Legends” parade, Main Street.

Noon - Free meal, Mirror Lake Park.

1 to 4 p.m. - Children’s inflatable games, Mirror Lake Park.

1 p.m. - Horseshoe tournament, American Legion Club.

5:30 to 9:30 p.m. - “Dakota Idol” entertainment, Mirror Lake Park.

10 p.m. - Hettinger Jaycees fireworks, Mirror Lake Park.

Hebron

Saturday

10 a.m. - Hebron 125th anniversary parade, downtown.

Noon - Jam session under the tent in City Park, featuring Otto Voegele and Clyde Staier.

1 p.m. - Car show and antique tractor show, north of St. John’s Church.

1:30 p.m. - Quintanna Biffert concert, tent in City Park.

2 p.m. - Threshing demonstration near Bolke Hall on west side of Hebron.

3 p.m. - Soli Deo Gloria Bell Choir performance, St. John’s Church.

4 p.m. - Community choir and community band concert, Hebron City Park.

5:40 p.m. - Prairie Rose Singers, tent in City Park.

6 p.m. - Chautauqua performance with Dr. Jerry Tweton as John Jacob Astor, tent in City Park.

7 p.m. - “A Musical Salute to Hebron Through the Decades,” Hebron High School.

9:30 p.m. - Street dance with The Tibor Brothers.

Dusk - Fireworks display at Hebron Recreation Complex.

Sunday

4 p.m. - Demonstration Raku firings, gather around the kiln at Dacotah Clayworks, 422 South Elk.
