WEST FARGO — The Dickinson Roughriders ended their road trip Thursday with a split against the West Fargo Patriots.
West Fargo won Game 1 of the American Legion baseball doubleheader 11-1 and Dickinson won the second game 6-2.
“Any time you can get on the road and get a split, it’s alright,” Dickinson coach Andy Emard said.
Emard said some defensive breakdowns led to high-scoring innings for West Fargo in Game 1.
“It led to big innings by giving extra outs, but no errors that really showed up on the scoreboard,” Emard said.
In Game 2, the Roughriders got on the board early, scoring all six of their runs in the first three innings.
Dickinson is off until July 6 when it hosts Jamestown Post 14 at 5:30 p.m. in a doubleheader.
