BOWMAN (AP) — An 18-year-old Bowman man is dead following a single vehicle crash near the town at 12:50 Tuesday afternoon.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the man was driving a sport utility vehicle on Highway 12 just east of Bowman when he swerved to the right, overcorrected and went into a ditch. Investigators say the SUV rolled, and the driver — who was not wearing a seat belt — was thrown from it.
His name is being withheld pending notification of his family members.
Elsewhere, A 65-year-old man died Monday night after he was ejected from his Harley after losing control of the cycle.
At about 10 p.m. Monday, the man was riding a 2007 Harley Davidson on Highway 1806 about 2 miles south of Fort Rice in Morton County, according to a press release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The driver lost control of the motorcycle causing him to be ejected onto the road. He was transported to St. Alexius Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival, according to the release.
The driver was not wearing a helmet.
The crash is under investigation and his name was not released.
