Rescue call at area lake

Emergency responders were called to Patterson Lake at about 8 p.m. Saturday for a rescue.

“We got the call that a man was in the water so we were dispatched to the south side of Patterson Lake,” Dickinson Rural Fire Department Chief Curt Lefor said, adding when the department arrived bystanders were performing CPR.

The department members took over CPR and the man was unconscious and not breathing. He was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital by ambulance, Lefor said.

A call to Stark County Sheriff Clarence Tuhy was not immediately returned Saturday night and no further information was available at press time.
