Stroh loses out in Calgary semis, Sundell wins

CALGARY, Alberta — Dickinson saddle bronc rider Shaun Stroh had a 76.5-point ride in the semifinals of the Calgary Stampede on Sunday.

CALGARY, Alberta — Dickinson saddle bronc rider Shaun Stroh had a 76.5-point ride in the semifinals of the Calgary Stampede on Sunday.

The low score kept Stroh out of the final round and the $100,000-to-win prize.

Wade Sundell of Boxholm, Iowa, won the $100,000 grand prize with an 88.5 on MataFact in the finals. He also rode Lynx Mountain to a 90.5 in the semifinals.

With the win, Sundell moves to the top of the world standings.
