Upgrades for Beach Airport

WASHINGTON — The Beach Airport is among airports statewide to receive funds to help make improvements.

Sens. Byron Dorgan and Kent Conrad and Congressman Earl Pomeroy said in a press release Thursday that four Department of Transportation grants have been awarded to help make necessary improvements to several airports.

Beach is sharing $662,779 with the Cando Municipal, Carrington Municipal, Crosby Municipal, Lakota Municipal, Mercer County Regional, Northwood Municipal and Walhalla Municipal airports for runway upgrades.

Linton Municipal Airport was awarded $165,000; Garrison Municipal airport gets $112,425; and $36,000 will be used by Harvey Municipal Airport.
