Letter: Train service costly

I see that almost 90 percent of respondents support passenger train service through Dickinson (on The Press website weekly poll).

Now the money question is how many would support a 1 percent sales tax or some other kind of tax levy to help pay the estimated $850 million it would cost to improve the tracks for the passenger train service.

There are no free rides.
