The Dickinson Park Board approved its preliminary 2011 budget, which included an increase of $87,000 in the amount levied compared to last year, said James Kramer, Parks and Recreation director.
The preliminary budget, which the board unanimously agreed to on Friday morning, includes nearly $4 million in expenses, $4 million in revenue and $1.1 million levied, Kramer said.
The board levies taxes for its general fund, retirement fund, special assessment fund, Social Security fund and park facility fund, he said.
A public hearing will be Friday, Sept. 24 at 8:15 a.m. at the West River Community Center, in conjunction with the board’s monthly roundtable meeting.
“We will pass the final budget the first week in October,” Kramer said.
