Oh, what a beautiful morning. At 1:45 a.m. I was woken up by the sound of something falling over, then I looked outside only to see a couple men staggering into the trailer court and a vehicle zooming out.
I go back to bed, dogs are making a ruckus at the corner of Third Avenue and Bonnie Street — figure those drunks made it home.
This morning my dog has to go out, a couple of our fence boards are trashed across our yard, four of the tops are missing amongst the fencing that got broken by a teen losing control of his pickup earlier in May.
I look down the street and the plastic covering my neighbor’s car window is trashed down on Second Avenue SW and my neighbor’s yard is trashed. Our street lights are not doing their job as security for our neighborhood and according to the police we only have four police officers on duty and they just can’t patrol the whole town of Dickinson.
Where are the new police officers that they keep hiring? Hire one and fire one. We need a police force we can rely on, not pay for street lights that shed little light on the neighborhood. I’m tired of being vandalized.
