A judge ordered a bench warrant for a South Heart man facing two counts of allegedly delivering methamphetamine during a hearing Tuesday afternoon.

Phillip Bennett did not appear at the hearing scheduled at the Stark County Courthouse.

However, his attorney, Kevin McCabe, said Bennett may be incarcerated, though he didn’t disclose details.

“He gets served with an arrest warrant and then at such point that it’s appropriate, depending on where he’s at, there will be that hold on him because of the existence of the arrest warrant,” Tom Henning, Stark County state’s attorney, said after the hearing.

Bennett was arrested in July along with at least 17 others involved in a drug bust in Stark County, according to a previous Press article.
