GRAND FORKS (AP) — North Dakota health officials investigating a possible “cancer cluster” in Grand Forks County say they have found no evidence yet of common factors or potential causes.

Health Department officials have interviewed families of seven children who were diagnosed in or around 2007 with leukemia. Epidemiologist Alice Musumba says no definitive links were found.

She tells the Grand Forks Herald that that she has written to four other Grand Forks-area families with children who were diagnosed with leukemia and is waiting to hear whether they would be willing to be interviewed.

Musumba says health officials also are interested in knowing if there are other cases they're not aware of.
