Coal train derails on edge of Jamestown

JAMESTOWN (AP) — Authorities say a coal train of nearly two dozen cars derailed today on the edge of Jamestown.

JAMESTOWN (AP) — Authorities say a coal train of nearly two dozen cars derailed today on the edge of Jamestown.

Stutsman County Sheriff's Lt. Bruce Judd says his office received the call about 7:30 a.m. and responded to the wreck on the west end of the railroad yard.

Judd says some of the cars were tipped over and crushed but there were no injuries.

The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
