Man accused of sexually assaulting girl for 3 yrs

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — A man accused of sexually assaulting a girl for three years beginning when she was 12 faces felony charges.

Noel Hans Fruechte appeared in Missoula County Justice Court on Tuesday on charges of rape and sexual assault. The Missoulian reports that he was released on his own recognizance.

An affidavit filed in the case says the girl, now 14, told authorities Fruechte "has done some things to her that he was not supposed to." The affidavit, which does not list his age, says the alleged abuse took place about every other week for three years, most recently about three weeks ago.

Each charge carries a maximum penalty of 100 years in state prison and a $50,000 fine.
