DSU, Eagles split tight doubleheader

Senior pitcher Sara Jane Webster tossed a shutout as the Blue Hawks won the second game of a doubleheader 1-0.
Concordia pitcher Courtney Young threw a one-hitter to help her team to a 2-0 victory in the first game.
Amanda Fama had an RBI single in the first inning and a sacrifice fly single that scored a run in the third to give the Eagles (28-4) their only runs.
DSU (7-5) had just two hits in the second game.
Though Webster gave up six hits, she struck out six and walked two. Concordia batters struck out to end both the sixth and seventh innings.
DSU visits Vanguard University (18-8) at 3 p.m. MDT today in Costa Mesa, Calif., to wrap up its 14-game trip to southern California.
