2 DSU pitchers earn DAC honors

Two Dickinson State pitchers earned Dakota Athletic Conference weekly honors on Monday.

Senior Sara Jane Webster was named DAC softball pitcher of the week after striking out 12 and walking two in a no-hitter that helped the Blue Hawks beat Dakota State 2-0 on Saturday in Rapid City, S.D. Webster is from Northridge, Calif.

Junior Erik Bastio was named DAC baseball pitcher of the week for his three-hitter during a 12-0 win over Dakota State on Saturday in Rapid City, S.D. Bastio allowed three hits and struck out three while not allowing a walk.

Both teams are back in action Wednesday.

The Blue Hawk baseball team hosts Minot State at 5 p.m. in a nonconference doubleheader at Southside Municipal Ballpark.

The DSU softball team visits Black Hills State for a conference doubleheader at 3 p.m.
