BISMARCK (AP) — A mixed martial arts league is suing a Bismarck restaurant and bar for allegedly broadcasting a fight without permission.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship says in federal court documents that Reza's Pitch Burgers & Beer “unlawfully intercepted, received and/or de-scrambled” the satellite signal for a Nov. 20, 2010, card.
The restaurant and its owner, Reza Kamranian, are named in the lawsuit. The UFC is seeking more than $250,000 from each of the defendants.
Kamranian's lawyer, Casey Chapman, did not immediately respond to a phone message left by The Associated Press.
