No one was injured and a 30-passenger plane that had officials concerned landed safely Wednesday evening at Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport.
Firefighters were finishing a training exercise when Airport Manager Matthew Remynse requested standby and law enforcement was also called to the Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport.
Remynse said a 30-seat turbo prop aircraft with passengers aboard was having a flap issue, adding it was “nothing major.”
Remynse said the standby operation Wednesday night is part of the protocol for the airports emergency plan for irregular operation.
“The airport emergency plan was executed extremely well,” Remynse said. “The plane landed safely and there were no further issues.”
