Thiel leads as Riders roll past Casper

BILLINGS, Mont. — Taylor Thiel’s hot hitting streak continued Thursday as he propelled the Dickinson Roughriders to an American Legion baseball victory over Casper, Wyo., at the UAS/Fleetwood Tournament.

Thiel hit a solo home run and drove in three runs on three total hits as the Roughriders defeated Casper 13-0.

Thiel had a two-run homer in a loss to the Bismarck Governors on Wednesday and has been one of the team’s toughest outs this season.

Taylor Kreanzel drove in three runs, including a solo home run while Jordan Tescher added a two-run homer.

Dickinson (5-7) faces Butte, Mont., at 5 p.m. today.
