Group says Dickinson Public Schools can't leave organization

The Roughrider Education Services Program denied Dickinson Public Schools request to withdraw from the organization during this afternoon's meeting.

The Roughrider Education Services Program denied Dickinson Public Schools request to withdraw from the organization during this afternoon's meeting.

The group, comprised of area school districts, works together to maximize educational opportunities. Schools pay to be a part of the organization.

Dickinson wanted to withdraw because officials said the services don't match their needs. Dickinson Catholic Schools pulled out earlier in the year and RESP approved its withdrawal.

DPS was not at the meeting.

See Thursday's paper for more on the story.
