BAC slate includes 9-man jamboree

Dickinson State University released the 2011 football schedule for the Badlands Activities Center on Thursday.

Dickinson State University released the 2011 football schedule for the Badlands Activities Center on Thursday.

Included in the schedule aside from the usual slate of DSU, Dickinson High and Dickinson Trinity home games is a 9-man football jamboree scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 27.

The jamboree includes local teams matched up against non-league opponents.

The games begin with Mott-Regent vs. Parshall at 9 a.m., Hettinger-Scranton vs. Center-Stanton at 11:30 a.m., Central McLean vs. Beach at 2 p.m., Bowman County vs. Divide County at 4:30 p.m. and Trenton-Trinity Christian vs. Shiloh Christian at 7 p.m.

Dickinson State plays its first home game at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 against Valley City State. Its homecoming game is at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 against defending national champion and future Frontier Conference opponent Carroll College.

Dickinson High’s home opener is set for 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26 against Dawson County (Mont.). The Midgets’ homecoming game is Friday, Sept. 16 against Jamestown.

Trinity’s home opener is at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2 against Valley City. The Titans’ homecoming game is at 8 p.m., Sept. 30 against Bismarck St. Mary’s and will be preceded by Dickinson High’s game against Williston, scheduled to start at 5 p.m.

It is the lone doubleheader on the schedule.
