Sheriff: Krueger shot multiple times

Rosi Krueger, 57, of Hebron, was shot multiple times and killed in her home over the weekend in what is being investigated as a murder-suicide, said Morton County Sheriff Dave Shipman.

Rosi Krueger, 57, of Hebron, was shot multiple times and killed in her home over the weekend in what is being investigated as a murder-suicide, said Morton County Sheriff Dave Shipman.

Her husband, Dwile Krueger, 56, was also found dead from a single gunshot wound, Shipman said.

“We believe that Mr. Krueger had shot Mrs. Krueger and then shot himself,” Shipman said. “The evidence that was there when we got there is pointing that direction.”

The two are believed to have been the only people in the home when the incident occurred, but another family member resides in the home, he said.

“The family member that lives there is the one that came home and found them and then called us,” Shipman said, adding the couple was found in their bedroom. “It was reported the morning of the 24th and we’re suspecting it happened some time late in the evening on the 23rd, on Saturday.”

The couple has three children, the youngest being 18 years old, he added.

Shipman would not say how many times Rosi Krueger was shot or what areas of her body were wounded, but said all of the couple’s wounds were from a firearm. A firearm was found at the scene, he added.

He would not say what a possible motive for the incident is.

“We have some suspicions, but I don’t know if we’re ever going to be able to prove those,” Shipman said.

The Kruegers ran a dog-breeding business, he added.

“They have a son that lives out in Hebron that has been taking care of that business since that time,” Shipman said. “I’m not sure what their intent or what their plan is with the dog breeding business.”

He does not believe anyone else was involved in the incident.

No further information was available

Wednesday.

“We have not totally closed our investigation yet,” Shipman said.
