Eastern Stark County under flash flood warning following heavy rain
Much of eastern Stark County is under a flash flood warning until 10 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain fell throughout the area and runoff could cause flooding. Some of the heaviest hit areas are in southeast Stark County near Gladstone, Richardton, Taylor and Lefor. Cars across Dickinson were moving slower than usual as they navigated deep water on a number of streets this afternoon and one car could not be seen as it was completely under water.

A woman got out of her car and hopped into another as rain pummeled Dickinson and the Third Avenue underpass, which floods oftne when heavy rain hits, filled up. The underpass was expected to open at about 7:20 p.m.
No one was injured, Dickinson Police Department Sgt. Mike Hanel said.
He said people should use caution while driving and some manhole covers have popped off in the storm, so be on the lookout for them, he said.
The storm also contributed to the closure of both eastbound lanes of Interstate-94 near mile marker 69 for almost an hour when a travel trailer was blown over.
See Saturday's Dickinson Press for more on the story.
