FARGO (AP) — The North Dakota University System chancellor says Dickinson State University President Richard McCallum turned in his keys this morning.
Chancellor William Goetz said that a notice of termination was delivered on Sunday, according to The Associated Press. Goetz says he had a brief meeting with McCallum Monday morning in which McCallum turned in his laptop, keys, cellphone and business credit card.
McCallum has until Thursday afternoon to ask for a review.
Goetz has said the resignation request is a result of a recent review of DSU's enrollment showing that about 180 people were registered as students in the fall without their consent or knowledge.
McCallum has said he wouldn't resign and that the enrollment problem didn't hurt the university.
